A PAT test is carried out by a PAT testing engineer, which is someone that has the required training to carry out the series of tests. We advise that you have someone that is trained as they will:
– Know what equipment to use to carry out the testing
– Know how to use the equipment correctly
– Be able to interpret the results at the end. E.g. if an item has failed the PAT test you can be advised with what to do.
A PAT test is the testing of your electrical appliances ensuring that they are safe to use. It is important you have your PAT testing done as you want to make sure you are working in a safe environment and preventing yourself and others around from electrical danger.
