As a landlord I needed to have electrical testing done in a home. I got into contact with the PAT Testing Association which were easy to get into contact with and received a free quote. So, I arranged a meeting to have a PAT tester visit my home. I was informed that a PAT test is important to make sure that all electrical appliances go through health and safety checks. This includes both fitted and non fitted appliances.
The PAT testing engineer visited my home and carried out a series of tests on each electrical appliance using a PAT testing machine. After each appliance was tested, a sticker was issued which showed if it passed or failed the PAT test. Once the PAT test was finished, I was given a PAT certificate which showed all the results.
The PAT testing association provided a quick and easy service and I will be coming to them again for future PAT testing. I realised how important it is to have a PAT test done as a landlord as it will prevent any future accidents when tenants move in. I will be getting back in touch with the PAT Testing Association again in the future as I will make sure that all my PAT tests are up to date.
