Pat check
To check if your electrical equipment is safe to use you need to have a pat test done.
This is done by having a pat testing engineer come to your working environment and carry out a series of tests on each electrical appliance to check if they are safe or not. These tests include a visual inspection, an earth continuity test, lead polarity and insulation resistance checks.
Once each electrical appliance is checked, a sticker is issued saying whether it has passed or failed. if an appliance fails the pat test check, then it is advised that it is replaced especially if it poses a danger to anyone around.
